The 10 Southern Cameroonian leaders abducted from Nigeria to Cameroon on January 5, 2018, who preferred to be called Ambazonians, have announced they will begin an indefinite hunger strike on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. A statement from the leader, Sisiku Ayuktabe, said they are striking because the government has failed to account for 0ver 197 Anglophone prisoners taken from the Kondengui maximum security prison on July 22, 2019.
They are also denouncing the profiling of Southern Cameroonians in Yaounde 2, by Territorial Administration Minister, Paul Atanga Nji.
The overcrowding, malnutrition, cruel and degrading detention conditions in Kondengui and other facilities.
