The Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which is only 40 kilometres from the Russian border, has taken the brunt of a Russian barrage that began on February 24. Since Ukrainian forces retook the Kharkiv region two months ago, the once-ruined city of Kharkiv has begun rebuilding and now stands as a symbol to the Ukrainian people’s desire to survive.
