Memorial Run in California in Remembrance of US Service Members Killed in 2021 Kabul Bombing

In Simi Valley, California, a memorial run has been held to memorialize the thirteen American service members who were killed three years ago during a suicide attack while U.S. troops was leaving Afghanistan. Attending this year’s marathon, VOA’s Genia Dulot met with two Gold Star families and the event organizer, whose son survived the attack at the Kabul airport.
