Central African police and gendarmes from the Ubangi River port brigade carry out surveillance and control patrols with the MINUSCA on the Ubangi River. These patrols aim to mark the presence of the police in the river area, to combat crime and illegal immigration.
The gendarmerie controls the boats on the river. It also intervenes to help those who are in difficulty or the event of incidents such as drowning. The police, on the other hand, deal mainly with immigration-emigration.
The mixed team of the Internal Security Forces and the police of MINUSCA also carry out pedestrian patrols on the edge of the Ubangi and educate users and traders on their safety~MINUSCA
